This program is for high school students.
The High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP), a school-based program, consists of a curriculum that is designed to introduce students to basic personal finance skills, educate students about financial planning, and help students build their confidence with respect to financial literacy.
No peer-reviewed publications evaluating the effectiveness of the most recent version of this program were located.
The HSFPP focuses on encouraging high school students to develop life-long financial skills, behaviors, and confidence. This program includes the following six modules:

Since the program began in the 1980s, it has reached approximately 11.5 million people in all 50 States and over 100 U.S. military installations around the world.

Considerations for implementing this program include understanding that teachers must register on the program website, finding time to implement the program in an already existing curriculum, and acquiring program materials by ordering or downloading information from the internet.

The program consists of 30 lessons that are 45 to 90 minutes each.
This program is free to implement for educators or community youth leaders.
To move HSFPP to the Promising category on the Clearinghouse Continuum of Evidence, at least one evaluation of the most recent version of the program should be performed demonstrating positive effects lasting at least one year from the beginning of the program or at least six months from program completion.
