Growing Great Kids® (GGK®) for Preschoolers, a community-based program, is designed to assist home visitors and parents obtain helpful knowledge and skills to support healthy child development.
No peer-reviewed publications evaluating the effectiveness of the program were identified.
GGK for Preschoolers is designed to provide home visitors and parents with knowledge about child development and skills to promote healthy child growth. Participants learn how to offer compassionate care, daily stimulation, healthy nutrition behaviors, and physical activities for preschoolers. Materials include developmentally suitable activities that focus on supporting the child in the following domains:
More than 26,000 staff who work in home visiting, preschool, and residential-care programs have been trained in the general Growing Great Kids (GGK) program since 1996. These staff members have served approximately 3 million families in the United States, Canada, Japan, the Philippine Islands, and Ukraine.

Considerations for implementing this program include recruiting facilitators and ensuring they receive training, acquiring parent buy-in, and making time for mutually convenient home visits.
