Charting the Course Towards Permanency for Children in Pennsylvania (Charting the Course), a community-based program, is designed to provide child welfare professionals with essential information about the child welfare system and key skills to help them better serve families in the system.

The program consists of 10 in-person modules, which require 120 hours to complete, and 6 hours of online TOL work. Sessions can be held 3 or 4 days per week for 6 consecutive weeks, or it can be held 3 or 4 days per week every other week for 12 weeks.
Information on implementation costs was not located.
To move Charting the Course to the Promising category on the Clearinghouse Continuum of Evidence, at least one evaluation should be performed demonstrating positive effects lasting at least one year from the beginning of the program or at least six months from program completion.
