AlcoholEdu for High School is an interactive, online alcohol prevention and education program that is designed to increase participant knowledge, deter the acceptance of underage drinking, and decrease or prevent alcohol use and alcohol-related consequences.

This program intends to alter participant's perceptions, encourage behavior change, and promote healthier decision-making. The program consists of the following lessons:

As of 2008, AlcoholEdu for High School had been implemented in 185 schools in the United States and was also being implemented in an American school in Europe. Current previous use information was not located.

Considerations for implementing this program include acquiring school administration, teacher, parent, and youth buy-in; ensuring participants have access to the internet at school, home, or in the community and time to complete the program; understanding funding may be necessary to implement this program and this funding could come from the school, district, or outside source; and realizing that associating completion with a test, project grade, access to a school event, or participation in extra-curricular activities may encourage participation.

To move AlcoholEdu for High School to the Promising category on the Clearinghouse Continuum of Evidence, at least one evaluation should be performed demonstrating positive effects lasting at least one year from the beginning of the program or at least six months from program completion.
